I got 60 from the .22 but Millet is probably the best to speak to about the .177. Calibre has to be your choice. I'm sitting this one out! Quote Link to post

Both are upto the job but both have strengths and weaknesses (albeit minor ones.) .22 is a heavier pellet with good stopping power. It drops off faster than a .177 though so your range will be effected. .177 is a lighter pellet and flies with a flatter trajectory. It doesn't have the wallop of the .22 and can be effected by wind. The old saying went '.22 for fur, .177 for feather' but the both kill the same if your pellet placement is right. Which is the right one for you? Quote Link to post
