cadno coch 1
how do you experienced hunters set fixed fence snares as im having no luck at the min im i doing something wrong pics would be great From my own Personal experience i've always found it dead loss setting on fences,i always try and set mine on well used runs, the trouble with setting them on fences is that the fox slows down in order to go under the fence, but by setting them a few feet out from a hedgerow or between a row of winter wheat, there is a much better chance of picking one up as the fox is trotting down his run nice and casual, anyway what are you looking at snaring you never said??fox or rabbit. Wanna be farmer 0
I've put a post on your other thread, but i'll put the same on this one. Are the runs regularly used? If you are fence snaring, you normally can see a little bit of discolouring on where the rabbits are hopping through depending on what type of fence. Is there anybody else on your permission? You're more then likely setting them wrong. Personally, i wouldn't be using 4 ply snares for fence snaring at this time of the year. How are you setting them? Send me a picture or something? I'm not the best at snaring, but since i've been working with a keeper i'm much better. Quote Link to post
