When I was keepering I always drove about to cover as much land as poss..... and I still do, even on the quad if I need to cover lots of ground.... I much prefer walking, its my favourite way of lamping, but like i say, if a job needs doing im going to do it as efficiently as possible.

1 50 a pound for roe 4 pound a hare end off mate and help the farmers out as they eat all, there crops lol and test your dogs to the max

:icon_eek: a few nice roe when it was legal then would be well worth it. I have a good deer dog here and would consider that if it was legal of course.

so why would someone want big numbers of foxes though if its not for pest control. honest question again :victory:

you writing abook as your asking questions a lot whats your name and handle mate , foxes to me are a bio product if you happen to see one and its catchable wel catch it , as they take levererts grey partridge scare game away to have good game land you have to wittle the predators down lol, and i like a fox fur coat braw in the wiinnter to keep you nice and warm lol test a dogs gameness at times aqnd some people thats what they have to run in urban cities

no walking for me as you can tell by my user name .i sit on my dog untill i find some thing to run then i get of him so he does not have to carry extra weight when running ,i could stay sat on him it would not make any differece ,after all he is a super dog ,with cast iron feet :whistling:

i dont hunt fox at all, but let me answer this  its all about numbers, most lurcher hunting is. all the boys from south yorkshire that are in to the saburu thing are not going to go out all night for just 1 fox are they, cours there not, they want a full night at it , and get as many as they can get them on, to test there dogs.

back to the numbers thing. weather we like it or not , its always back to that

example : your offered two pups, ones from a dog catching big scores, the others from some show dog. wich one do you buy.

thats south yorkshire mate not borders and eastlothain scotland were there games been there for years ,diffrent mentality full stop ,i see roe every day a hare every day if i want one ill get one one way or another , its always been the shillings for me even rabbits when i couldnt sell them for a price or barter or get paid pestcontrol i went back to the old ways take enough and get more when the time is needed thtas the diffrence if you have caught big numbers in your time on youir door step ,
