Wanna be farmer 0
I have had many discussions whith my mum (she wants me to be a Doctor) but overall i have decided on going to Sparsholt to study GameKeeping and Wildlife managment. I am going tomorrow for the openday, it's about 2 and a half, 3 hours away from me. I'll tell you how well it goes. I know now i definitely want to do something keeper orientated. Anybody else ever been to Sparsholt College? Thanks'

ratattack 111
Not the best college out there for keepering. It's mainly classroom based i understand, gien that most keepering involves working outdoors i can't see how it can prepare you for the job

ratattack 111
I went to thurso and was only at college about 6 weeks a year. All the rest was out working on an estate. Have a look around different colleges and get info on the courses. The thurso one is one of the better colleges tbh.

When i was looking for a keepering job after going to college i found that i may as well not had done a course as all people look for is experience good luck

I did the NC Gamekeeping and estate Maintenance (2 yr block release) with a top notch placement, won the the Gleneagles trophy for top student followed by a HNC Gamekeeping and wildlife management elmwood college, and most of the estates I applied for work werent interested
