mally 832
you tell'em MALLY! hope you have got rid of the swine flu for saturday! you have a days picking up to do for me!! and ill tell you what for those who are bitching about the number of rabbits they are running in the comp why dont you run a heat on YOUR land!! ATB RYNO I don't think we'd have seen anymore rabbits on anyone elses land it was just one of those nights, dew, no wind and a full moon. There are obviously rabbits on the ground we walked as it's got a railway line running straight through the middle. If i was invited for a run of this land in better conditions i'd jump at the chance. Like most i try and pick the nights i go lamping and as a whole i get quite respectable bags even with my whippet. Don't worry mate i'll be there bright and early on saturday. In fact give me a ring on Thursday and we'll get out for an hour on the lamp :piggy: :piggy: :piggy: Should you be out and about as early as Thursday if you're still a swine???? I was told yesterday i had to stay in for 5 days so thursday night should be ok mate, just hope i feel a little better than i do now as i feel like sh*te lol Quote Link to post

huntingalltheway 2
3 rabbits , you boys in this comp have got to get on some decant land, yes i know the meeting up with new chaps is all part of it, but fecking ell, not a single heat in double figures when me and LDR talked about the rules, evry one had to own a car so there was none of the bollox like last year with WH and crew. by having a car and being on permision, you can lamp from 7.30 pm onwards. so work aint an isseu, the point is you should be able to run a heat with a day or two's notice. not need to book it weeks in advance. the moon is now 3/4 down , so you can now lamp right up till almost the end of the month, just watch the weather on the net , long and short range predictions, then pencil a number of nights in. come on fellas none of these heats have tested a dog Tomo, the moon was almost FULL, no cloud, no wind, and there were lamps on the permission in front of us, and a Trasnsit van driving the fields and lamping, so hardly good condititions !! I had drove 140 mile and stayed over, so it wasn't a case of not trying !! You didn't enter this years comp because of family commitments, Bolt and myself had to run on this date because of OUR family commitments; he had just got back from NZ , and my family is off to Oz for 4 month next week, so this was the only date we could arrange. We enjoyed ourselves, so why should it worry anyone else ????? i think fair play for giving it a go. We all know full moon is the hardest night to catch on and does test the dogs well just shame you couldnt come across more bunnies for a better challenge. But good go lads. Quote Link to post
