chartpolski 24,131
3 rabbits , you boys in this comp have got to get on some decant land, yes i know the meeting up with new chaps is all part of it, but fecking ell, not a single heat in double figures when me and LDR talked about the rules, evry one had to own a car so there was none of the bollox like last year with WH and crew. by having a car and being on permision, you can lamp from 7.30 pm onwards. so work aint an isseu, the point is you should be able to run a heat with a day or two's notice. not need to book it weeks in advance. the moon is now 3/4 down , so you can now lamp right up till almost the end of the month, just watch the weather on the net , long and short range predictions, then pencil a number of nights in. come on fellas none of these heats have tested a dog Tomo, the moon was almost FULL, no cloud, no wind, and there were lamps on the permission in front of us, and a Trasnsit van driving the fields and lamping, so hardly good condititions !! I had drove 140 mile and stayed over, so it wasn't a case of not trying !! You didn't enter this years comp because of family commitments, Bolt and myself had to run on this date because of OUR family commitments; he had just got back from NZ , and my family is off to Oz for 4 month next week, so this was the only date we could arrange. We enjoyed ourselves, so why should it worry anyone else ????? Quote Link to post
chartpolski 24,131
I'd like to thank Barney, (The Bolt), for hosting this heat and for the food and drinks his wife put on for us before and after the heat; I'd also like to thank Paul, (farmer1) for taking my brother out on his permissin with his young dog on the same night; and a HUGE thanks to Paul, (Mally) for putting up me, my brother and 3 dogs, for 4 days, taking us duck shooting and lamping before and after my heat !!! To all the naysayers, this is what this comp is about !!! Meeting likeminded, top lads, and having fun !! Try entering next year, you may just like it !!!! Cheers. Quote Link to post
Paid 935
I agree with tomo that we need more rabbits caught, but everyone has known that in every heat, and tried hard to produce that, especially when having guests visiting. Just odd how it hasn't happened once yet. Can't believe my heat had the most caught so far, because if was a terrible night lol. Nothing was out. Still, that's the way its been going so far, and I hope it changes for the next lads up. Many of the big bags we are starting to see this season have been driven, and we all know you can cover a lot more ground, and get a lot more rabbits when driving rather than getting off your arse and walking. Bosun11 537
having the outing on a full moon , you really know the score . lol.and to say it will end up with the best dog on this site How the hell would you get the comp run and done if you waited for the right night??? If YOU could come up with a better plan to run the comp and run ONLY on dark windy nights only feel free Unfit, you could enter, then and we'd see your much hyped, wink, wink, say no more dogs run eh.... See if they'd be the best dogs on the site? Whats that you always say.... 'If you only knew'.... Knew what exactly????? What do you do that everyone else doesn't or can't, what makes you and your dogs so special? Lets have it right, there are only so many quarry species in this land and some on here have run ALL to a greater or lesser extent, so unless you have sommat we all don't know about round your ways, so fecking what!!! To the Bolt and Chartpolski, well done lads for putting the effort in on a difficult night Quote Link to post
miss lurcher bitch 319
well done lads mlb Quote Link to post
