Guest lavyheed
DON'T flick her on the nose! I don't care how many times you get this advice, or from who! The only thing this will result in is a fert that's shy of your hand, & you'll spend half your time in the field chasing her around bury entrances. Anyone advocating this as a means of stopping nipping either doesn't have the first clue about ferrets, or is willing to fart about chasing them around half the day You want your ferts to work for you, be easily-handled in, or out of, the court, at the vets, in the hunting box, while removing ticks, cleaning the court etc.........? So why the hell would anyone utilise a method that's guaranteed to make a fert shy of your hands? There's some really good advice available on this forum, but at the same time there's also plenty of members more than willing to talk absolute bollocks. If you want the best from your ferts, give them the best you can offer........if someone's not prepared to do that, they should give them to someone who is, & stay away from keeping them in the first place. Some of the dickhead advice given on this forum is a joke, to be honest. It's pretty obvious that quite a few members don't have a f*****g clue................ the best thing to stop them bitting is a 1.77 airarms pelet in the head your an idiot ADMIN: Give this man his own ferret advice section. Some sound advice you are handing out there rentyboy. :wankerzo4: Scothunter, Your wrong about him being an idiot, i think he would struggle to qualify as one. joe14 98
Just make sure theyve always got a full belly full of meat, leave some dry food down all the time for em, generally a happy ferret is a ferret with a full belly. Then make sure they get some time out of the cage to run around so they can let some steam off.. start handling them, abit of ferretone on your knuckle if you dont feel confident with your hand then they cant get grip, if they nip move away your hand they will soon learn that nipping equal no nice tasty things and they will associate hands with good thing. sick of hearing the advice of nose flickers, that makes a ferret bite even more, they have sensitive nose's, could do some damage.. would you like someone 10x the size of you giving you a good flick on the nose. Catcher No problem mate. I see your point, I didn't really explain myself very well. I occasionally go out with boys I don't know and I don't want to take the chance of anything to happening to my jill because she's given them a nip. I'm was getting frustrated because, she kept doing it and I thought I was doing something wrong. She hasn't done it for a few days now. ATB. Quote Link to post
