Night Hunter 109
Hi guys just wondering if buddy bottles need to be tested in the same way as the filling bottle? Quote Link to post
RaiderBoy 19
i asked this question about a year ago and the overall answer was no but it is advised that you send it back to the manufacturer to be tested and serviced every ten years. Richard Quote Link to post

masmiffy 82
Sorry but have to disagree here. I took a diving bottle to Theoben to get it filled. They asked if was in test, which it was and stamped. They said they have to be careful, understandable I guess. At the time it was mentioned about buddy bottles and they told me that they also need testing. Quote Link to post
donnyc 1,203
Theoben are full of shit .The size dictates they do not need testing ..You dont have to test other receivers ie S400 series or any other precharged tubed rifles Quote Link to post

Night Hunter 109
i dont care if its a diving bottle or a buddy bottle, you have one let go on you and you can kiss your arm / ass goodbye. Totally agree, but the guy in the divecentre said that if you look at the bottle and there is any dammage other than light scratches then it should not be filled he added that failure of the bottles is extremely rare and that it is normally the schrader valve that goes as that is the week point in the bottle Edited October 14, 2009 by Night Hunter Quote Link to post
