"Orange" isn't a religion.

Although you do have to be an Evangelical Protestant to be an Orangeman.

There are many who follow football teams and align themselves to the Loyal Orange Order who are not actually in the Order, and who would not be welcome in the Orange Order.

What religion you, your wife or your children are is entirely your own business, where they go to school is no ones business either, I hope I have explained why I made my original post above.

Well said, it is OUR business each and everyone of us in this God forsaken World have there owne personall religion!! nowt wrong in that!! We are all Christians at the end of the Day,, and to be honest Come up here and live for a Month or two and You will see the Difference regarding Creed! Muslim children can be excused from assemblies as they are Christian practices. They can wear there religious jewellery when a Christian child cant wear a crucifix. You go to the school and tell them that you don’t want them to give your child books for homework that are about Islam and there religious views tell them that you want them to give him books witch are educational and can teach him lessons in life and British ways. If Muslim children were given Christian books there would be out rage claming it is offensive to their religion and it would probable make the evening news.

You have as much wrights as them tell the school this is not on and things have to change. atb bedrock

i agree bedrock, but what would happen if i kicked up a fuss...id be a rascist :wallbash:

This happened to an ex friend of mine her son was arguing with a little muslim girl and she called him white trash and he retorted with your face is brown like poo they where 5 years old and they hauled her in over it calling the little boy a racist and she was going loopy over it all they even offered him counselling before it "gets out of hand"nothing said to the wee girle or her mum

Aye 'tis a very different country today compared to the one I grew up in...political correctness gone 'kin mad!

A couple of years ago I got into a spot of trouble at work following a complaint from a fellow employee of a middle eastern persuasion, who apparently was offended by a piece of jewellery that I had worn for years. The item in question is a mjiollnir(or 'thors hammer') pendant, which as a pagan has significant meaning to me, its always been my good luck talisman...

I was called into the senior managers office and told in no uncertain terms that if I did not immediately remove the offending item from about my person then I would have to leave the premises and would be suspended from work. The manager at work had apparently done some 'research' on the internet and came to the (incorrect) conclusion that the pendant was a symbol of racial hatred. Now, I have worked for this company for 15 years without having so much as a warning and an absolutely flawless disciplinary record. The muslim chap had worked there for a year or so.

Anyway, I decided to make a stand and refused point blank to remove the pendant, I even tried to explain to the manager the significance of the symbol in the pagan religion, but it went straight over the guys head...so like a naughty boy at school, home I was sent.As a parting shot I said they would hear from my solicitor. Two days went by, then I received a phonecall from the managing director to tell me that I could come back to work and that they would pay me for the 2 days off...result!

Just a typical example of the way political (in)correctness is screwing up this country...'Great' Britain...aye, right!...this country, the united kingdom is quickly becoming the UNTIED kingdom.

Nah, I just work in a manufacturing environment, but was just sick about everyone treading on eggshells around all the foreign folk that work here, anyway it all ended up ok for me, even ended up with a promotion soon after the incident.

Well done. Sounds like you worked for the Government.....spineless baskets! All this bowing down to the blow-ins makes me bloody mad!!!

They will be takeing him and his classmates around a mosc soon.My kids went to a catholic school and they never came home with owt like that,IMHO NO relegion should be taught in schools. :wallbash::angry: atb dell

So why did you send them to a Catholic School ?.

i think he lives rurally and it was the best graded school in the catchment area, probably just wanted the best for his kids

:clapper::thumbs: You have got it in one as st bernards is one of the best schools in the area.atb dell

true

And i'm sure there glad to have parants like these on board.

cheeky cow, what do you know about my parenting skills?????look through the rest of my posts on here,im not a muslim and my children are not going to be educated like one thats the reason why my little boy was moved out of his school and im glad i did 3 years down the line there isnt one english child in the school and theyve just had a goverment grant to build a mosque into the scchool grounds!so i think i made the right decision my children are fetched up to learn about all aspects of life and how to respect them and other people, what they decide to do when theyre older is upto them and ill be there to back them up 100%, my boy was told he was to move schools as places were limited, he has muslim freinds and isnt taught to be racist, the way other people preach to their children is upto them but mine are happy well education children so do not comment on my personal life when you know nothing about me and my family :censored:

Are you serious???

The Roman Catholics have got to be responsible for indoctrination on the largest scale .......... have you seen some of the incredible stuff they teach?

Transubstantiation

Papal Infallibility

Idolatory

You want to qualify that statement.....or is it based on ignorance like a few of your anti-catholic statements from other posts...you say you dont have a problem with catholicism yet you continue to make snide remarks...... :hmm:

Which bit?

That Romans don't really totally believe that they're eating Christs body?

That they don't worship statues or relics?

That they don't believe the pope is God on earth, and his word is the word of God?

Sounds like a big con to me ..............

What next, the Jesuit Army coming to get me?

Romans?? No they dont really believe theyre eating Christs body or drinking his blood and no they dont believe that the pope is god on earth....In relation to communion its symbolism....a bit like when you lot get ready for marching season....as for the pope he's meant to be gods mesenger on earth not god himself......and he's not infallable...only god is infallable...your wee mask of respectability is beginning to slip....but i guess you dont really believe what your spouting otherwise you'd be upfront about your beliefs and not make sly inuendo....might be bad for buisness though....if you have to make silly comments at least try to get your facts right :whistling:

Sly innuendo? Not from me.

The point of my original post as stated was to express mild amusement at the sending of a child to a Roman Catholic school to avoid any indoctrination, it was not an anti Roman Catholic statement.

Bad for business? ........... If you think I'd be even the slightest bit concerned that someone who was going to buy a collar from me was put off my firmly held beliefs or personality, then you're very wrong, the gear I make I intend to be the very best available, if it isn't then I'm concerned.

If you think that by once again stirring or trying to provoke me into making any insulting remarks you'll damage my reputation for excellent quality and or service then you're deluded, my gear sells itself, I just make it.

As for your completely wrong explanation of Roman Catholic doctrine above, then I can only suggest you're either not a Roman Catholic or are deliberately misrepresenting the doctrine.

Transubstantiation is a doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church. The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines this doctrine in section 1376:

"The Council of Trent summarizes the Catholic faith by declaring: 'Because Christ our Redeemer said that it was truly his body that he was offering under the species of bread, it has always been the conviction of the Church of God, and this holy Council now declares again, that by the consecration of the bread and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of his blood. This change the holy Catholic Church has fittingly and properly called transubstantiation."

What next?

Immaculate conception?

The assumption

What dark secrets the bishops kept?

Go on and f**k yourself off, you're an argument looking for a place to happen, you sound to me like a bitter sad person with not much better to do than try and argue on the internet.

See you've been googling...snappy comeback! you stick to your wee bowler hat and belief that you ara people wont be long till the summer and you can get out for a wee march :whistling:
