andri 73
What is the most witty thing you have seen quarry do to escape the jaws of a running dog ? I once lamped a charlie in a large grass field to the rear of farm buildings. My bitch at the time turned him a few times, the fox knew he was goosed so ran into a shed full of sheep to escape the dog. Sheep scattered everywhere and charlie boy ran out the otherside into the farmyard. One smart fox! atb andri Quote Link to post

Paul in North Lincs 15
had a little lurcher that ran a fox one night (before the ban), after a dam good run and no where to go the fox suddenly turned to face his adversery; dug his legs and eyeballed the pursuing dog who immediatly jibbed and slowly skulked away - i wasnt bothered in the slightest though as she was purely a rabbit dog. Whether the fox was knackered; or had steel balls, i'l never know................ Quote Link to post

Wild_and_Irish 11
I've seen a fox do a fulll circle and run about 40yards behind hounds on there first hunt that have been seperated from the pack, when we saw what he was doin he was out of range of the shotgun and the experienced hounds had lost the scent, fair play to him.
