bought/bid mk3 & collar & it doesnt have the magnet on box or pinpoint control should it have a magnet on keyring seperate to turn the collar on & off , if the box comes without a magnet how do i turn the collar on/off ?? can i use a magnet of my own ? could do with advice before i pay the guy for it,

mate if the mk3 reciever doesent have a built in magnet then there should be a key ring magnet wif it

yes mk3 not mk3m , can i turn it on & off with a small magnet if the magnet is missing ?

Google MK3 then MK3M and see the differance The MK3 collars slide open to switch off The MK3M has the magnet switch

Aye you dont need a magnet for the mk3 you have to remove the batteries instead

got you mate got confused ( which isnt hard ) it just unscrews funny trying to turn it on with magnet & got no battery inside

if it aint got the pin point knob on back of locator, then its a mk2 NOT!! a mk3, I wouldent touch it with a bargepole

Just what I was thinking from the description-"does'nt have magnet on box or pinpoint control".

Anyway here is a picture of the back of a genuine Mk111. Note the PinPointer....Very important and heed Stubby's advice ...very important .
