Yo airgunners, had a day spare, nothing in my diary, and the Mrs visiting one of her mates after work :) So the obvious thing to do was take a strole with my lead flingging friend the HW100T, on arival I thought I was on a hiding to nothing, not even a mixy buck in sight :( You know the feeling, all you want to do is go home, but we are a hardy breed us airgunners, we dont need beaters, we dont need long distance guns, because we have fieldcraft to give us the edge, well maybe we could do with long distance guns :D Anyway, I was there, and I was'nt coming home empty handed, so a gentle strole was called for, scanning a ditch at the side of me I could see the long grass parting as some thing was making its way through it, it looked like an invisable ship was sailing up the dyke, then it stopped, I could see the grass parting towards the barbed wire on my side of the dyke, so I dropped to the floor, gun pointing to where I thought it would exit, all of a sudden it lept over the wire :o F**k me it was a big dog fox, as soon as it saw me it was off down the dyke like a speed boat :D So on with my quest, I could here the mongs mooing to each other in the distance, so no point in going in that direction, so I decided to sit it out on a medium sized warren on the opposite side of the pasture. Got set up, quick swally of orange squash, sorted! It was only a couple of minutes before my first bunny appeared, WHACK! feel the force of that Mr rabbit, I think it was impressed :D Being as the bunnies were a little edgey I dicided to pick up after every shot, so paunched and legged the first bunny was hung in a nice evergreen tree about twenty yards away, settled down again, twenty minutes and the next bunny joins the hang in the tree gang :D Another twenty minutes and another nice sized rabbit joins the gang, three shots and twelve pounds of meat to show them, it was looking good now. I could hear the cackle of magpies in the evergreen where I had hung my rabbits, as I watched them make there way to my larder another rabbit popped up, nice sized rabbit or scrawny magpie, the rabbits are worth more to me, so I whacked the rabbit, but hoping the cackler would still be in the tree, but it was'nt :( So four to show for a day when I'd have bet a tenner I would have blanked, Just as I was packing up a small rabbit skipped out into the sunshine, should I or should'nt I, of course I did, WHACK! and I've got my self a ferret snack, so ended the day with five, ferrets sorted, and arm ache by the time I reached the car ;)

Keep at them folks!

stealthy.
