andy s410c 61
With my season starting underway i required a pair of hands so the missus fancied a dodge out with "her ferrets" ...jobs a good'un,let's do it.Arrived at the top of the burn for 09:30am,bright sky & light westerly wind.Had 3 ferts today,1 hob & 2 jills including the missus's favourite"Ruby little legs" . Seen 1 rabbit go into the set we were starting at,ran the quickset round, collared up & put 2 jills in,nothing moved for 20 mins, magic box out...bad result 5ft jills came out after 15 mins or so matted up...time to move on.Did another 2 small sets with 1 rabbit from each with the missus keeping hold of 1 in the qs till i arrived to sort it out . Did another 3 sets which normally produce a rabbit or 2 but no one at home today..perhaps sitting out enjoying the autumn sun .We had a bite to eat & mooched back up to the top of the burn to do the cottage garden sets.We bagged 2 from a small set with the jills however on the bottom set the hob killed in...i could'nt get a fix on him with the box so only he know's were he was down there,he came out after 15mins blooded up so he enjoyed himself anyway. Ended the day with 4 so not a bad little mooch out for a few hours ... Quote Link to post
