Old clothes/rags,used to use straw but don't anymore as one of the dirty b'staads kept hiding "parcels"in amongst it

Also it is easier to discard, wash or change a few old shirts or blankets than a load of straw.

Nelson; You should have been with me in my 'Stock Shed this morning, mate! Goats don't so much leave bombs. But a maturing male one? F***ing hell! I'm starting to smell what all the fuss is about now! Hose pipe and Full Face Respirator job soon!

King; If ye have a look about, mate, there was a whole thread kicked off on this subject just last week. Might have been headed " Straw " or something? It's all in there.

I now use household cast offs for my lot too. Blacnkets I found ever harder to get hold of at the charity shops ~ Everyone wants them. They're also the very b*stard to get washed and dried.

I always give them the pillow case, when I buy a new quilt cover, as I don't have a pillow. Old fleeces, when the zips go, are excellent. But, if ye can get hold of it, that 'Vet Bed' stuff, or the cheaper alternative of 'fleece sheets' from the cheap shop are probably the best bet.

Dogs don't enjoy chewing the stuff. I's quick to wash and virtually drips dry overnight :good:

we use this stuff its like a soft thin cloth or wadding you get it in a compacked bale its about 9 quid from a place called k9 in middlesbrough it has a swimming pool for your dogs and he says the greyhound lads use it and i fined it pretty good apart from it sticking too your dogs and blowing round the garden ha ha ,but it keeps em warm and soaks in any moisture that may be present on the dogs :thumbs-up:

cheers dave
