MagyarAgar 88
Thats really a nice Whippet u have there! Thumbs up! I like them a little taller, too. Overhere there is often a "italian greayhound" like whippet that i dislike! Quote Link to post
mally 832
Thats one hell of a good stamp of whippet A lot better imho than the closely bred lagunas i have seen.I think they should take a leaf out of your book and out cross some of the closely bred types to different strains of ped whippet for the good of the breed. atb dell I can't agree more mate. Vixens dam was bred by Mike Brown and put mother to son to produce her. Far too close IMHO. Thats why i decided an outcross. I don't like the way the popular whippet lines are going, there getting very big and it's not good for the breed as a whole IMO. I like a whippet to be around 20" and around 30lbs and bred to the standard. My real hate is the stuck up ears and apple headed whippets which are appearing more often in the working lines. If people thought before they put there bitches to the nearest available dog and bred for the benefit of the breed instead of profit this wouldn't have happened in the first place. It's taken me over a year to find a suitable stud dog for Vixen. I intend on breeding from her in the spring. I'll of course be keeping a pup back for myself as i only breed when i want a pup myself. I don't think you live too far from me, if you fancy a day out ferreting with us please drop me a pm Edited October 9, 2009 by mally Quote Link to post
