stubby 175
nice one harry, and you aint tried making the look like woodies, so just the "movement" was enough, the flapper that I got aint that great, low wind, no movement high wind, it takes off next trip out I'll try just the deeks and motion Quote Link to post
steviemann 5
Do these come with woodies as well or just doves and crows? Quote Link to post
stubby 175
Do these come with woodies as well or just doves and crows? we both ordered them from an american website, they shoot doves over there, the plastic doves supplied are about half the size of our plastic woodies, so although you could probably fit your own, Im not sure if the mechanisim of the motion controller could deal with the extra weight I just gave mine "tippex collars" hoping the pidgeons would'ent have a size issue Quote Link to post

harrycatcat 31
Mine cost $28 to buy and $28 to ship/post from USA. Its funny Stubby as I have just got some tippex for mine today. The day we tried and took photos it there were a family of Buzzards hovering about. Quote Link to post
simonrob 4
you can get them from this site http://www.decoying.co.uk/?page=show-item&item=687 Quote Link to post
harrycatcat 31
you can get them from this site http://www.decoying.co.uk/?page=show-item&item=687 I dont supose thats bad at 40 quid as mine was $56 which is about £35 so £5 extra for some one in this country and if it goes bad you could replace it easier. Just my opinion Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I'll 2nd that, although mine was way cheaper than harry's around £25 all in, you get batteries with that one, and peace of mind if it goes wrong I suppose if either of ours go wrong harry, we'll have to order one from them Quote Link to post
country-kid 2
how affective are these and do you just use stationary decoys with them? Quote Link to post
stubby 175
how affective are these and do you just use stationary decoys with them? as with everything out there, its something to try and add movement to your pattern, although I started with this and a few shell deeks, Ive now got a magnet as well, which really pulls them in, my mate went out yesterday with just deeks and 2 floaters, and said that nothing would come near, also at the time, the motion decoy was a cheaper option than a magnet, going on the british price, Id save your money and pick up a second hand magnet for same price Quote Link to post
