davyt63 1,845
hi every one i went to the b/p this savvy to see what was about, and got set up by the top at the back of the buildings.and just sat and waited found myself nearly having a afternoon nap where i was waiting so long but it was only 40 minutes, and the first bunny showed its self,i put the range finder on it 43yds and then just sat and waited to see if it moved any closer.by this time an hour had passed so thought oh! well slowly got the AAS410K up on the car door and steadied my breathing, took the cross hair just above its eye about 1/2 inch took the shot THWACK! over it goes hardly a twitch,i do like it when shots like this come of. a couple of pics of the 43yarder close up and from where it was shot from video footage then i left it there for a good half hour, but nothing else showed.so had a drive around to see if any more bunnys felt lucky,as i was passing the bill boards, i see a cotton tail head for the bank. so i went round one of the units and came up behind it and stalked it for 30yds. i got myself in the shadow of the skip and waited,no need to range find this one as it was within my zero.it had its back to me for a while so had to get it to look up,and a little squeak of the lips and up it popped THWACK! and down it went.after picking it up i slung it in the back of the car and went down to the sub box. as i was pulling up at the place where i park, i spotted a bunny on the small hill west of the park.of goes the engine a quick push of me button to move me seat back {electric} and adjusted it for me to shoot comfortable.this one also had its back to me so lip trick and it turned THWACK! it went for a roll down the small hill it was funny? after this i went down to the balancing pond but nothing about "thats rare" so i decided to call it a night here is a group photo happy hunting davy Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Nice going Davey, (cocky git) :tongue4: Yeah I blanked! Went out, only saw 3 bunnies, one on an embankment (where there are usually at least a dozen) and two in the field next to the embankment (that place is usually crawling). Guess its getting cold now and they don't want to keep warm playing dodge the pellet. Boring feckers aint they? Phantom Quote Link to post

tdesnos 6
Nice write up Davy, I like the way you got the camera next to the rifle so we could get an idea of the shot and the ground you were shooting around. I think it would be beneficial to everyone to do this when giving an account of their days hunting. Quote Link to post
