Thanks Lurcher Lass i hope he does too.He is a canny dog and at min not getting out as she just cant be bothered with either of them and he had the Mastiif since he 8 weeks old he been ill so he wants to stay with him till the end but he bought the Lab for her and she didnt bother with training it etc.He pops round to walk them but she goes in huff every few days and wont let him take them.I wouldnt care but she opens back gate and its open field it would only take ten mins to open gate and at least have them go for little mooch but she would rather be out so the sooner he goes the the better.

If you struggle to find him a pet home it might be an idea to get intouch with an organization that uses labs for detection work ie the police or the M.O.D.We took my daughters 12 month old rottie that was showing some agression to a chap at selby who also takes labs on to train for security work he is well respected and is office is coverd in photos of different dogs with their proffesional owners that he supplied. He was telling me how labradors that gamekeepers have had are no good to him as they are too steady and that a boisterus dog is a better prospect.atvb dell

Dell what a great shout, thats the route I would take personally, there is many trainers out there looking for dogs for detection work, I have 2 friends who do it and the madder the better!!

Cheers Dell i was thinkin of that kind of thing but was unsure if he would be suitable.Like i say its not my dog but have walked it along with my dog a bit and its a nice dog but a bit lively but thats through the way its been brought up nothing else. If my mrs wouldnt cut my plums off with a penknife i would of took it for a bit just to give it a bit of training but passing from pillar to post is not fair on dog but would benefit him n long run i think.Alfie has done nothing wrong its just not fair on him being couped up all day and night with little socialisation.I dont suppose you got details of the Man from Selby do you?
