Guest ADAM AND HIS DOGS
if the bitch does not do all that you want then dont breed from her. buy a pup from parents doing the jobs you want. the bitch can school the pup and then hopefully surpass it to provide you with the resluts you desire. Guest ADAM AND HIS DOGS
i have a bedi/wippet x collie/grey i do a lot of ferreting and lamping rabbits and big red rabbits lol i would like to put a bit more speed in the pups and a bit more agility what would your advise be to put her to? heres is what you asked. so you want more speed and agility. the mix in your bitch could throw all sort of different pups big wee heavy light fast. if i wanted a dog with more speed and agilty than what you have already then i would start over. ig you had to force me to recomment a stud dog i would go with a full greyhound to suit the requirements. if i was to recommend a pup from what you have written your requirements are then i would probably reccommend a a first cross bedlington grey or collie grey. Guest jimmytwodugs
i`d add a good bit of saluki & greyhound/whippit it really depends on what your after by the sounds of it your up for a bit of anything like me, i`d say the grey will give extra pace/ whippit for mobility/ and the saluki for stamina and good feet, but make sure the saluki is a good worker. I`ve see a few boys when we were young cross collie/greys with none working salukis just show dogs that looked good and youd be lucky to get one worker out the whole litter, even then they were`nt the dogs you expected them to be. make sure you get good working stock before making that decision, good luck hope things work out for you Edited August 26, 2006 by jimmytwodugs Quote Link to post
