country rogue 0
i dont think anyone would put a price of a £1000 on there own lamp dog. normally its a mate of yours that might bid you a grand because they have lamped with you and the dog for a season or two and have not seen one better and has proved its self night after night. which therefore if for some reason the dog was to go it would go to your mate. selsey lamper your mate must be some judge of a dog if he can value one at a £1000 after a nights lamping as it works both ways even a top class dog can have a bad night as can a average dog put on a show some nights. i have worked and owned dogs for 26years and would'nt fancy valueing a dog at £1000 in a night or a month i have been out with lads that say they have turned down good money for dogs that i would not own for free and i myself was offerd a grand for my dog (which i gave £ for) which i turned down does that mean my dog was worth more proper dogs are priceless and dont get sold atb in finding one
MissRhianL 70
to me thats just bein lazy, get a pup that u want for a quarter of the price and train it up THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO BE and it wil be ready for next season. everybodys dog out there is what you say you want, is basically what they got. yeah its good that u got the money that your willing to pay for the dog, but you just want everything handed to you on a plate. £1000.00 aint alot for a dog if the owner has put a few hard years training into it. Thats just my opinion

merle24 61
I dont think there is anysuch thing as what youre trying to buy,,in the sense that why would someone sell such a dog,,and if they did for some funny reason decide to sell then they would be after a bit more than a grand. CorkyJohn 808
I was offered £600 for my whippet x about 13yrs ago by a mate of Plummers, he was known for ferrets at the time, think he wrote a book. I told him he was handy on the rabbits & would get stuck into fox but he wasn't nowt special, he picked him up like a baby (on his back) then made me an offer. My dog was PTS last year aged
