more in the fenns and one in a snare

i went out yesterday and set half a dozen fenns,i allso set a peg snare that been sitting in the bottom of my trap bag,when i got there this morning the first trap had fired ,and was out of the hole the full lenth of the tether ,there was no fur or blood on the jaws ,so that ones a mystery,the next two were blank then i had three on the trot, ihad set the snare on a patch of thick sharp grass,i,ve had a few off this strip,the rabbits like to sit on it before they get out to feed among the weeds.

i always use single wire tealers and ther are great but i was wondering how to do it just another raditional skill kind of thing, my query was how do you attach the wire to the cord?

Hi mate, perhaps I should let Micky answer, however, there are possibly a few ways. A single sheet bend is good with the spare wire just wrapped round the cord. This allows replacement wires to be fitted fairly easily.

Nice going mick good post and pics,that ground sure does look hard .

My snaring was not so good,took 2 rabbits in the fence snares and a fox got them,you could see where he had laid down to eat,leaving me with a very kinked wire and a head,last time i laugh at STEALTHY1 .Once the livestock is out these fields i will hit the place hard with the snares.Some cracking runs in the field as you can see from the pics.
