sandymere 8,263
Light meal, protein, fat and carbs, to restock reserves quickly(dogs use fat and glucose for energy, glucose for sprinting, see carbohydrate part 2, the cereal debate), water available at all times, shouldn't bother with the salt/electrolytes as it ain't/has not been sweating, good check over and a good nights sleep should do the trick. allenyeates 3
a good rub down, make sure its nice and dry if its raining. i like to give mine a electrolyte drink if it was a hard night or some honey in luke warm water. Sound advice if it has been a hard night. Give the same to my racing pigeons after long or hard race. (Especially if weather is warm or clammy)
