Hi all, as ive had a few problems with dew claw injuries in the past im looking to remove them from my lurcher pups.

It would be appreciated if some of you guys with experience could give me a few pointers.

Check out Youtube, shows you how. Mind you I've always chickened out of it. Couldn't handle tail docking when it was legal either. Been in field sports all my life as well but couldn't take dewclaws or tails off. :icon_redface:

i have never done this before but i have seen it done all's the bloke done was got some sharp scisssors the 1ns with small blade type i think they wer for finger nails dont do them if they older thn 3 days old and i think the stuff what he dabbed the paws with so they didnt blead was iodene or somting just 2 stop the bleading if ur gonna do em dont hesitate half way through just cut em asif ur choping a sarnie like ur not scared

if you do not know either how or when....then dont attempt it yourself, get the vet to do it when they are 1 day old. watch and learn. it will be money well spend and you wont be gambling with your puppies lives.
