Cleaning up and found this.

Recommended Posts

Found this round the back its a piece of plate steel 8mm thick.

It was shot at at 100m with my 6.5*55 with lowish powered privvi 139g factory soft points.

It was used for a talk I was to give which never came off.

This is a good reason for making sure you have a backstop and why landowners do'nt just want anybody on there land with a centre fire rifle even the 22,250 will penetrate right through with VMax *aaaa*

Well said bro. Even a subsonic .22lr is still travelling at 500fps at 400yds. That's 23 ft.lbs. Easily enough to kill an adult if it hits the head and god forbid that it hits a child. BACKSTOP BACKSTOP BACKSTOP

Seen that too, and I was also suprised!

Many years ago I acquired my first centrefire, 'only' a BRNO .223, after some initial zeroing and general messing around

I started to shoot it around my ground, Rabbits turned inside out, Crows all but disappeared when hit!

Then I stood a scrap piece of 8MM black steel up, and fired a 55gr fmj at it from about 40 yards, it made a 'clang' and flipped 4 feet in the air and like yours exhibited a hole clean through.

So there you have it folks, we are unleashing some fairly evil power each time we break that shot.

BE CAREFUL CHAPS!!
