artic 595
I wouldn't go out my way to run my dogs on hard ground. I'm relying on my dogs to perform well and catch. Why waste all your time conditioning and trainning your dog to then go and run it on concrete like ground and resulting in a laid up dog for days. weeks even months! The dog cant speak, you are its owner, be a little more professional, have pride and RESPECT..... just be patient. Our dogs are our tools of the trade are they not? Come on..........Common sense......... Quote Link to post
UNFIT 0
i have and always will run on every type of ground and run every thing that my mut wants to have a run on , even if he has no chance of catching it ,it keeps him fit and happy ,after all he is the one that is doing it ,and makes the decision ,i only shine the lamp ,i dont force him by sliping him of a lead .it makes for a very good dog that uses its own brain ,not the brain of the owner . jjbel 0
Well the rain is falling now and has been all day, and the next few days is forecast the same down here in the S/E. The places we`ve been lamping the last week or 2 have been softish anyway. I prefer to keep them off rock hard land if I can. Quote Link to post

moter poacher 2
Haha. I honestly cant understand you lot. you spend all summer waiting for the season to start then when it does start your on here moaning about the ground conditions. Youll run em on rock hard stubbles but as soon as they have been raked over you are moaning. Get yer fcukin dogs out and get em worked. after all, thats what they are there for. atb stabba i agree stabba, the next thing people will be moaning and start saying its too wet when the rain comes especially the subaru lads etc makes me chuckle Quote Link to post
