BIGPETE 0
Well, had a great day yesterday and never fired a shot. After nearly two years of trying I have finally secured some permission on land passed for FAC. A tad over 800 acres on the first farm with another farm to visit of which I would estimate another 500 acres (I have to call in next week to get my form signed for this one). Not much cover and only signed off for vermin species so far but a lot of pigeon and rabbits. Reckon a .22 rimmy and a shotty will do just fine for now. This opens up a miriad of oportunities and I am over the moon. This is land in the North East and I have also been asked to visit a farm in the Dales to discuss permission there. I don't yet know the acreage of this one but I know it has land passed for FAC. So all the letters and networking finally paid off and I am well chuffed to say the least. I know many others are still looking and permission seems to be getting more difficult to find but keep trying is what I would say. Regards, Pete Quote Link to post

BIGPETE 0
I know where you're coming from mate - congratulations, that'll keep you sane while you continue the search for some stalking permission Cheers mate, Not too worried about stalking on this land yet, back to being a "probie" for a while. I know there are roe in the area, I have seen them over the last two seasons but they were a fair way from any decent cover so I guess they were either transient or very happy to be feeding a long way from cover, I doubt the latter although I may be wrong. I think more importantly is the ability to contribute more to forum and take a more active part in it's activities. In the early days of joining I was offered a look out on a couple of members permission bit it never happened. Hopefully now there will be something to offer back to like minded folk. I have always(for over two years anyway) paid for my shooting because I hate feeling like I have put folk out in some way, those days are gone now roll on getting my ticket! Regards, Pete. Other thing what needs to be done after you have picked up the farm with regards to passing it via the Firearms guys? I've just been granted HMR and will be looking for new farms next week, I have a closed ticket and am wondering what I need to do after farmer says Yep you can come on here..Thanks man DAVE Quote Link to post
adamthomas64 1
the first step is to get the farmer to sign a permission slip saying that you can shoot and what you can shoot, then ring your feo and tell him you have new permission and want to get it cleared they will then visit the farm and say yes or no.
