Hollie 21
I started raw feeding a few months back and i asked my local butcher if he had any scraps of meat i could take for the dog His reply NO, but you can buy bones for 90p each I was gobsmacked, surely there is stuff he throws away......................but he is such a tight git he won't let my little Lurcher benifit from it. What are your butchers like, are they as tight as mine

fishy 1
i get mine for free,as much as i can take.my supplier has to pay a registered specialised skip firm to take away animal waste to be incinerated.....at an alarming cost.so they benifit from me taking it for free, and i save a packet. plus its human grade off cuts. dogs-n-natives 1,182
I get at least 6 lamb breasts(ribcages) and loads of pork trotters, and skin and fat, plus a bag of off-cuts every week for nowt... most butchers I know have to pay to have this waste taken away now, and seem keen to give it away... Tis TM 8
Try finding your local wholesale butcher/ meat factory... They have to pay to get rid of the bones so will welcome a regular collection, thought they might want you to take in bulk and freeze... Peeing about with the odd bones here and there wouldn't appeal.
Guest lavyheed
I get them free from the butcher, but notice morrisons charge you for them, cheeky b*stards.

Just typed both into the search for my local area (and my nearest city) and couldn't find anything Only thing that came up was a meat wholesaler??? not sure exactly what that is (before anyone gets smart i realise they sell meat wholesale ) but do they prepare meats........would they have offcuts to get rid of?
