Oh, and just to clarify, that isn't my pic, just a pic off google. Edit: Damn, Sean beat me, doesn't matter though, I know what it is, he took 36 minutes, so meh! *runs off to cry* Thanks both nice to see them , have seen the green ones there really quick & i havent managed to get a decent photo of them . doxhope 2 Posted October 3, 2009 Report Share Posted October 3, 2009 Gulls are quite good to practice on for flying shots, especially if they are flying against the wind..It also gets you used to taking pictures of white birds against darker backgrounds, to test light settings etc..White is so easy to blow out so you are left with no detail..but, practice makes perfect, and you are certainly practicing... Today i tried to get them in focus in front of the trees rather than the sky which was very grey & dull, some arnt to bad but its at least given me a bit of practice keeping the subject in the viewfinder & in focus as best as i could , even though it was cold & quite windy today there were plenty of birds about They sat on the water with there feathers all fluffed up they looked frozen Quote Link to post Share on other sites
