sorry to here that,

its not uncommon i know a rescue center that had all its ferrets nicked even the ones that were sick. along with that they took the hutches and the and some of the ferrets were boarding, as well as ladies personal ferrets i think 20 or so altogether.

and this was smack bang mid terrace, a property with no back gate, during the day while she was at work.

i know another guy who had all but two of his ferrets nicked thankfully, he was out ferreting when they robed him. so he had two ferrets his dog and his kit with him.

There was some tw@ opening hutches and releasing people ferrets in Montrose area last year! Not stealing them, just letting them go!

Mine are in a locked alarmed shed inside locked hutches with a bloody big welcome light that drains the national grid when you step into the garden.

I know it's only a deterant and it's a shame that people have to do this to make their ferrets and equipment safe, just because some stinking tw@ can't be arsed to buy their own

I hope you can rebuild your collection, and get back out there
