Need some info from you guys. So if you could indulge me I'd be greatful, as it'll save me trolling the interweb.

I was out last night with the pup. Had only just got into the field and he was off. The sun had just gone down and my eyes aren't so good after a cfew ciders so I couldn't see what he was after. Two minutes later he appears from the gloom with a rabbit.

Quick snap and rather than carry it for the rest of the walk took it home, its only two minutes away.

Anyway the lad asked if he could have it as he sells it to the old boy down the road and he needs some coinage for new guitar strings etc.

He can have it but he has to gut it.(see pic) Fair methinks.

So whilst gutting it he calls me into have a look. Three tape worm looking things wiggling about in the gut.

Now I've been gutting rabbits from the age of 9.......a long time. I have never noticed anything like this before. So;

1. Have I not been paying attention and this is common?

2. Would it be wise to eat what little meat there was on the animal? There was very little.

3. Would it be wise to feed it to the ferrets.

I haven't done either of the last two!

Can any one shed some light on this please.

best regards
