landl10 0
I took my young whippet on a lump the other night, he chased a rabbit but instead of grabbing it he nudged it with his nose is this normal as he's only 9 months??? He has no worries of chasing down the rabbits he just didn't seem to want to grab it. Quote Link to post
BLUCHER 1
Quite common as its only 9 months dont rush it, its still a pup it will come good in the end, theres no substitute for experience. If it persists run it with an experienced dog it will soon get the message. Quote Link to post

Huntmad 1
its not unusual thats why paople take them out a few times with an experianced dog to show them the crack but if you have no one to go out with try a rabbit skin raound a tennis ball and try and get him to retreive iv had my pup doing it since he was 2 months old and hes 5 months now and coursed his first young rabbit the other day and brought it back to hand alive atb Quote Link to post
