bri1970 22 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Share Posted September 30, 2009 sounds like a knocked up toe to me.would'nt bother with the vet,lay the dog up for a few week then gradually build up with some light road work.you'll have to be patient.if you gallop the dog too soon you'll be back to square one. Im based just into N Wales does anyone know any decent ones.rub witch hazel on it 3 times a day for a week using tooth brush get swelling and heat out of it witch hazel gels better if you can get it , then use boneradiol 3 days on 3 days off 5 times then start walking dog shud put dog right if not broke Quote Link to post

jeffers 3 Posted October 1, 2009 Report Share Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) i went to seargents place in rhyl with the same problem,still got some good dog vets on board. was told it was ligament damage.ice packs for the swelling,lead walks and tape the foot when he starts exercise. also i've heard of bone radoil on this site so i've ordered some from greyhound mega store. good luck and be patient! only got charged £13.00!
