Toka 10
cheers for the replies...it is all new to me really, been around farms and country sports all my life but not owned a hunting-working dog like this before, although been out with a few when young. i am learning all the time and probably make more mistakes than Bilbo does, hope i learn quick though!! Want to publicise the breed in a good light...as it does get a slating, some lighthearted [and i am always up for a laugh], some not so lighthearted , but if the articles encourage others to take up the 'sport'/working dogs [whether Plummers or not - but hopefully ] then it can only bode well for 'hunting' and field sports as a whole. If it just means that someone who wouldnt normally be into dogs enjoys the read and perhaps learns something [although i am the first to admit i aint no experienced dog man by any means] then it is doing some good. judging by the increase in people getting in touch and asking about pups, as a direct result of the CMW articles then that is something....but it brings problems of its own, as to the number of pups being bred and the 'ethics' of dog breeding...both of which are always well discussed on the forums. hope it is all to the benefit of the breed!!!
