Out this evening

Hey Guy's decided I'd pop down the graveyard this evening as I had a delivery of some Shootmore today :good:

I've used Shootmore before and found its allowed me to get very close to the bunnies

This evening was very blustery round here. I stuck up my zero'ing target in the secluded part of the cemy and after placing 10 shots all in the black (good going with the wind), most on top of each other and decimating the bull I was happy with my new tin of AAF's

I put my jacket on and sprayed a few squirts of Shootmore on my hat, jacket and trousers and began my walk up to the hedge and headed towards my sniping and observation spot.

As I moved, I noticed a bunny across the far side of the cemy. I was in plain view of bug's and the wind was blowing from right behind me towards the bunny.

Bollox, no way am I gonna get the 30 yards across to the middle of they cemy; without it seeing and smelling me.

Hang on a minute!! I'm covered in shootmore so that should disguse my scent  but I have to get across without bugs seeing me.

I began a slow walk towards bunny, feck! a woman walked past the gate and bunny ran to the left about 8feet but as the wind blew again, it stopped and faced me, raised itself up on its hind legs and just sat there sniffing the air.

I carried on my slow walk and I'd swear it was just sat watching me. Got to the walkway that runs the length of the cemy right down the centre of the old side.

The bunny just sat watching me, I figured any second now its gonna do one, but it didn't move other than to sit down and get itself comfortable :o

Now I know it could see me but it just seemed mesmerized sniffing the air.

Due to it been so windy I decided I was going to use the pod (or is it that I'm getting lazy using the PCP?).

Anyways bugs is about 30ish yards directly in front of my nose, wind begining to change to a slight side on and bugs turns his head to my right giving me a perfect side view of his head.

My finger made its way to the trigger, crosshair settled nicely behind the eye a little squeeze, slight phut and crack, bunny rolled over kicked its leg in the air and 'Elvis has left the building' :clapper:

Surgical placement. Took a wander over to recover the corpse and a big "At last I Got You! you lil' fecker" :victory:

This was the one bunny I had tried to bop more than a few times, but its allways gotten a whiff of me and legged it!

How do I know its the same one?

Look at the pic below, this cotton tail is a non-cotton tail!!

Sadly upon opening the bunny up, I could see by the liver it was diseased :(

There was lots of blood spots on the liver and on the inside of the liver it was heavily scarred.

Also a few spots of that yellowish marble looking stuff that beggins with C and I can't pronounce!

Later on I was Buzzed again by Oscar nine-nine, this time it was so low I could see the pilot, so I gave him a friendly wave, rifle in one hand, bunny in the other.

Soon after the 1st bunny, I hung a rag that had been sprayed with Shootmore on a stick (My 30 yard marker from my sniping point).

The Stick marks the entrance to a warren at the back of the yard and withing 10 minutes, bunny number two appeared next to the stick sniffing the air like it was stoned! Crosshairs on bonce, squeez, phut, crack and a highspeed back flip two feet into the air as a AAF minced through its grey matter :victory: then less than half hour later bunny number three appeared and was promptly slapped in the head with another AAF :victory: , this one just rolled rolled down the mound where the stick was.

I didn't get a pic of the last two as the phone died every time I tried to put the camera on :icon_redface: why do these things need charging so often

So if any of you guy's are sceptical of using Shootmore, the above should help you make up your mind if you want to try it.

Today has provided me with the best proof yet that Shootmore works :clapper:

I'd reccomend it to anyone.

Nice shooting keep up good work good read.i went out last night and had 6 with mixy so dug a hole and buried them you got any their? With it atb rich

Hi Rich,

I have only ever seen one or two bunnies with Myxie and both were long before I took up shooting again.

I guess it must do the rounds here, but both of the ones I saw were a few years ago over near the village of Ellerker a few miles west of here.

I am thinking more and more that there is RHD in this area though, I shot one last week that was very 'anorexic' and it stank like it was rotting, made me feel sick :bad:

The blood spots on the liver and the kidneys of this bunny seem to support that theory as well.

From what I gather an infected bunny will usually die of internal bleeding within 12 hours of becomming infected but some seem to recover from the initial infection and can last for 3 weeks before they die of starvation and other complications. So it looks like my hit was a blessing in disguise.

Cheers to the rest of you guys.

I take my lead from Davy and Stealthy when it comes to the right ups.

Tony

Hi Zak,

I emailed the Archdeacon, found his email on the web.

He wrote back saying that it was the responsibility of the local Vicar of that particular church.

He told me he would forward my email and that the vicar would respond if she deemed fit.

I didn't hold out much hope as I had no further contact, but then 3 months later I got an email from the treasurer of the local Parochial church council informing me that they had discussed my offer of pest control (because they are causing so much damage to the place). He told me that it had been put to the vote and had been passed (Only just mind you) and they wanted to give me a three month trial to see if I can make an impact.

So its my mission to wipe out as many as possible in those three months :gunsmilie:

So give it a try, it may work out for you, but dont expect an immediate result as it may take a while :victory::thumbs:
