lurcher lass 9
pre ban of course,, this type of dog would be grand, i've known straight beedy x greyhounds that took all types of quarrey happily,, i have a beddy/grey x whippet who has great prey drive and theres no reason why the breed couldn't. though every dog is different remember atb Annemarie xx Quote Link to post

mooshka 22
alright thanks for the replies keep them coming, would be a dog like this, seems to be very small to me for them he is a 50/50 cross beddiexgrey, here is a pic my brother s dog I don't think its the size that counts in this instance but speed and stamina. You've lost a lot of speed with 50% Beddy and in My opinion would struggle on daytime in the big open fields. Thats a lovely type tho.... and I am seriously considering one for rabbiting and ferreting Will be interesting to see the replies Quote Link to post
arcticgun 4,548
I have a first cross beddyxgrey, she is 100% all heart, but pre ban with fair law (80yds) no chance on a fit hare, you would have needed a saluki cross, atvb Richard Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
I have seen alot of this cross run from [bANNED TEXT] i used to run a coursing club from the late 70s to the mid 80s .The only beddy/grey that could catch hares on a regular basis was a dog that levelld out at 24tts.IMHO thats why they were crossed with other lurchers ie deerhound saluki or collie hybreds because i must have heard the words if only she was a couple of inch taller she would be a worldbeater. No body in their right mind would get this cross just for hare coursing however [bANNED TEXT] bred back to another type of lurcher thats a different story as the hundreds of photos i have of this breed proves.atvb dell Quote Link to post

Guest lurchers&terriers
depends on the dog mate. not all beddy/greys are the same.. iv had a beddy whippet catching hares so a beddy greay will give it a go. You will never know until you try it but its banned of course Quote Link to post
LEWIS123 449
a mate of mine had one years ago that was 29inch that could tec 3/3 in winter Quote Link to post
