poacher3161 1,766
Its the silly prejudice with hancock dogs that seems to exsist just because the man bred them it does not determine how they turn out.IMHO their no different than some ones whos bred a greyhound to the local farms collie dog.atb dell Quote Link to post

colliejohn 840
Whin, there are still one or two of us genuine collie lads about, i work and breed my own dogs, they maybe not your type being around the 20/23 inch mark, but they have decent attributes i.e. decent feet, coats, brains, stamina, agility, and enough pace to come to terms with their quarry, it,s hard nowadays to find genuine collie strains that are off genuine working lines, and haven,t been diluted with other breeds, or have to much running dog blood in them, i personally wouldn,t own a collie type that was more than 5/8,s greyhound, 3/8,s collie in them, my dogs are collie saturated, but are very racey, but it,s as they say, it,s each to their own. regards collie john.
