20alex09 0
If you had a choice of a remington 700 sps tactical or a tikka t3 which would you choose? Both these rifles are a similar price at my local rfd. Thanks for your views. Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
Tikka T3 .... what? What is the intended use? Both are good rifles so you cannot pick one over the other without knowing why you're buying a rifle at all! Quote Link to post

hunter1 63
Steyr mannlicher prohunter mountain 223.No need to buy aftermarket bits. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
... My T3 Lite shoots almost anything pretty well, but it cost me a fortune and about 2 years to get it balanced...my T3 Hunter is much better balanced...personally I don't like heavy rifles for fieldwork and I would not buy one. My Remington is in .308 and is a SPS Stainless Synthetic and does me fine! Quote Link to post
perthshire keeper 1,239
t3 every time i have used a sps a few times and cant get on with the feel of the bolt at all if you can i would have a go with a both guns if you could its the best way to find out Quote Link to post
quicksilver 0
i also shoot a steyr prohunter mountain, i dont have much experience with other 223 rifles but i find this a good rifle. I like the length of the barrel and the weight, it makes it easy to handle in the jeep etc. The set trigger is also a nice feature but takes a little getting used to. The twist rate is 1:9 so it will stabilise heavier rounds. hunter1 what ammo do you use in your steyr, i mainly shoot foxes and find my rifle likes 55gr federal, do you reload ?. keith Quote Link to post
hunter1 63
quick silver i use 55gr PPU for crow & rabbit £8.00 per box. For fox 55gr federal i find the best 4 grouping 100m drilling same hole first 2 shots 3 shot just touching edge. My mate reloads i dont bother. Quote Link to post
