Out early morning again to follow hounds exercising/cubbing.

Forgot all about taking photos till last draw and dig. A good morning for scent, hounds hunted and owned line well(drag of course) untill they came to drilled field which was dry and dusty and lost scent. Hounds taken to next draw, we tried small earth with tiny rough young Russell which accounted well for herself and we finished things very quickly after short dig. Owner of land rears hundreds of duck and was keen for us to carry on after hounds were boxed.

Came acrross another small place under old fallen tree roots. Another duckeater accounted for quickly with strong russell.

On way out we met neighbouring farmer who insisted we took a dozen plump chickens home to eat :good:

Roll on Wednesday. :D

I love hunting at this time of year. I went down to wales on sat but it was so hot I got sun burn, surprizingly good scent tho. I missed hunting on Sunday when they had three packs out together, nearly 80 hounds! Role on next week!!
