Try mepps lusox spinners they are the dogs danglies if all else fails. ;)

I'm on about 40 pike from the local canal, mepps pulls a lot out, have recently got into using jerkbaits on short rod with a multiplier, brilliant way to get em!!! :D

Ive just bought some of those MEPPS spinner's 7 ' Im off tomorrow so hopefully will land a couple ;)

Have you tried the ondex spinners only fault theirs not much weight about them.atb dell

No' Just add weight to the TRACE ive done it before and it's worked.

Cheers wat type of weight split shot or a barrel weight.

Both really i use split shot's on the nearest end to the SPINNER'LURE what ever your useing'And with the BARREL type put it near the trace on your line you might need a bead on aswell to stop the lead from wearing the not on your line!

cheers i will try that.

the reason i like the mepps 7 spinners (apart from the reason it catches me big pike most of the time) is beause there is great weight in them and you can reel them in dead slow also you can feel the rod tip vibrating when reeling in and i recon that vibration is coming off the spinner to attract the pike.

thats my 2 cents

If you can find them there are double lusox IE: 2 different sized blades on a wire trace and my go i've had a few pike on those when struggling to catch on others. Mepps have a wight that clips onto the front of the spinner that looks like a small fish head, thats what you need on those lusox if you need a bit of weight to cast or get deep.

Have a listen to the noise different lures ake through the water

How did you get on?

Ive had no joy on my last two sessions with the spinning so i think i will wait until it gets colder and start on the DEAD BAIT ;)
