Big dog fox

Had look out last night on a farm of mine keeping an eye on the the chicken pen's as the farmers mentioned there's a fox pottering about and alot of rats so i had a nip up to shoot a few rats and lamped down the field only to see this big dog fox making his way up so i took him at about yards,the night couldn't of went any better only got a few rats but gonna trap some in the next couple of days

cant judge how big it is mate,you could be one of them munchkin dwarfs got a photo of a huge vixen on my phone,when my Mrs gets home,i will see if she can upload it for me.biggest ive ever seen in 25yrs of hunting,shooting,snaring,digging them.

Weigh it mate ,looks arnt enough to say its a big fox .20 pound or over is a good 'un .

never do weigh them he just felt like a good weight compared to alot of the smaller ones ive had he was in real good nick aswell only ever had one over 20 that was with ian b

Is this like carp fishing where a 20 is a good fish and a 30 is a great fish??

 

My foxes have all been small so why is a 20lb fox better???

the biggest problems are always the smallest vixens...tho its nice to nail a good un!!!

Haven't had any of credible size round here in 2yrs. Scawny skinny and desperate.About the size of a small farm cat. Shot the last good oneof note, big red and healthy dog he was in nov 2007. I don't go out on them all the time,don't have the time to be honest, its just an observation. Used too come across big ones fairly regular.
