"mine did that and gave me a love bite but nearly crushed my hand" i had a heated dispute with 1 of the guns friday over this type of thing.all the press ever type of is when a gaurd or fighting bred dog bite kids etc.never hear of terriers, poodles, toy breeds or the like do it.this sickens me! bedrock 16
Hello lads. You might have heard of an incident a few months ago in ystrad mynach south Wales when a staff and Russell type killed a baby, it was on the national news. At the time I was opposite the building having a suite fitted for a wedding when the law turned up to deal with the situation. It was truly shocking, I’ve all ways agreed in asserting your authority with your dogs but that truly puts things in perspective for me. people who don’t have a clue about animals like that tool do more damage to us than they know. That incident truly saddens me, and If any body on hear is associated or related to anybody involved in this situation you have my deepest sympathy and must agree with me when I say that Muppets like this person shown on the video aren’t fit to keep animals. atb bedrock

lurcher lass 9
i have always said that if your going to look at dogs though type rather then temperment, as a whole the only breed i wouldn't trust is a goldern retriever, so many people look through a dog book as if its argos deciding on which dog, they come across the cute andrex puppy that stated "good mannered family dog" so they get the pup expecting it to be like a ready made meal! and when the dog turns into a fruit cake due to lack of training they then wonder why! at least when a responsible person gets a staffie or dobie etc that they know though this breed is stunning it will need time and training put into it for the dog to mature into a pleasent adult. sadly i hear of this culture of teasing the dog whilst laughing at it warnings all too much!! this is why i wont be working with pet dogs for much longer, some of the people i need to work with are idiots!! . . . breathe . . rant over . . xx

That incident truly saddens me, and If any body on hear is associated or related to anybody involved in this situation you have my deepest sympathy and must agree with me when I say that Muppets like this person shown on the video aren’t fit to keep animals. atb bedrock its like the pair of rotties that killed a ten month old baby in london, the media were so fast to blame the breed, yet they left out SO many details! i knew the pub where it happened, and what the media didn't explain was the dogs were guard dogs who were made to live on the flat roof of this pub, there was an estate and a path that was level at one side to the dogs, the dogs used to spend their time circling that roof all day, never walked, fed scraps, locol kids coming home from school would rub a stick along the railings bang bang bang, every day! drunken people would shout and swear at the dogs, come halloween eggs etc were thrown at the dogs and even guy fawks night fire works were chucked in! these were not family pets and had been in my eyes mentally abused FOR YEARS! the joys of the rspca did nothing though they were told countless times, so when the "owner" / landlord of the pub went on holiday got her neice, husband and baby to look after the pub, the mother of the baby had the baby playing on the floor of the pub then let the dogs into the pub THEN LEFT! now i'm a mother and i work with dogs and i can garentee to you that these dogs weren't used to babies - babies confuse dogs greatly, strange smell noises etc, the fact that there were two dogs made the act of introducing to the baby an even greater danger still, anyone who knows their dog well will know when two pups together meet a plastic bag, they will egg each other on! one will sniff one will bark, one will growl one will snap etc and sadly the same case would be with this poor baby who simply didn't have a hope! also the other angle which can aplied in a more normal family dog situation is if the baby caused pain to the dog and the dog told the baby off as he would a pup these are very side experiences for family members involved and dog owners of the breed that bit, sadly i do not know how we're going to break this culture of a dog being used as a threat to scare people
