bill88 6
Sorry mate i dont shop in Tesco's so can't comment, but if your good lady can find a "Morrisons" i'd highly recommend "Kingston Press" and "Merrydown" these are nice ciders and not the tasteless high in alcohol crap that comes in blue bottles. Both are reasonably priced and both have a good "kick"
inan 841
Missus is off to England, tomorrow, & since ive left the UK ive developed a taste for 'zider'.So, she has instructions to go to TESCOS and get me a case. But dunno what to go for. Any recommendations from tescos? Cheers. Ive tried all these "single orchard ciders eg Westons ,cloudy scrumpy etc ,but recently bought a 2litre of Asda's own Dry Cider its about 4.5%,and retails for £1.21p for the 2 litres ,chuck a few cubes of ice with it and its very drinkable and not discernably inferior to the more up market brands.imo. Swampy 147
Aspalls. Failing that lots and lots and lots of the inferior stuff tends to illiminate any taste buds and preferances you might have before hand. Remember; Too much is not enough! Guest Mass_G3nocide
Not keen on apple ciders, but kopperberg pear cider is very nice, the best of all the pear ciders imo. I make you right a nice bit of koppaberg cant beat it for a pear cider.
allenyeates 3
Westerns vintage. Bloody strong (8.2) but a real cider , great taste . Comes in 5ooml bottles. Most supermarkets of any size should have it. If thats too strong for your taste I,d recommend Westerns Organic. Top cider producers in my opinnion. Happy tasting. Swampy 147
Isn't Magnors the same as Bulmers? Also have you noticed that Perry is now being marketed as Pear cider as most folk didn't know what perry was. Talk about dumbing down and catering for the lowest common denominator. On the subject of Perry.....You can't beat brothers on that one. I missed half of Glastonbury coz of that stuff! Swampy Two nings equal a pear
