BLUCHER 1
Anything changed on the ground you hunt, walking over some permission i have this morning saw 6 roe deer twenty years ago on the same ground it made the local paper when a farmer spotted one for the first time on there. You could guarantee at least 3 runs on hares just in two fields now you never see one. Rabbits are far more abundant on there now partly due to me releasing a load of young about 30 years ago. Magpies were non existant, now there as common as hell, and fortunately skylarks seem to be getting back to their old numbers. But the biggest change is the increase of the fox population, guaranteed to see half a dozen on any lamping trip. Has any of your ground changed if so is it for the better or worse. Why on earth did you release a load of young rabbits ?????????
othickman 6
I would guess its because mixy killed them all, and rabbit is a good food and sport so long as you don't let the population get out of hand...
