A shine on the ground the final will be on

Headed out tonight to have a look at the permission that the final will be run on I decided to run 2 of the fields out of the 13 ...1 is a grass park with cattle and the other a newly sowen rape field beside it and will be the last 2 fields of the night ......The action was non stop with a slip, retrieve and then straight onto another ....I stopped after only the start of the second field as Tig is not as fit as I thought he was although he has benn out most nights the past few weeks and ran for a few miles everyday but hes not been running much rabbits and you cant beat a good night and the bunnies for tightening , sharpening up a dog and getting some wind inside them and the game bag was full and I have no room in my freezer plus it has not rained here for about 2 weeks so the ground is rock solid ...... I honestly think I could of doubled the bag but the dog was blowing hard although his tongue was back in well before we got back to the car but imo the dog had earned his grub for the night .....The rabbits are there in numbers so its down to the 2 dogs on the night of the final ...good luck to everyone involved in this comp and I will meet 2 of yous soon

I was on this ground last week, the weather was terrible for seeing rabbits sitting out but the place was still lifting with gear.......if the weather is right the finalists should have a brilliant night and some testing graft for their dogs.
