Gooner 143
Well i purchased from Ianb a locator and 2 collars brand new. well after my first outing last sunday 20th September it was found that one of the collars was not working. I checked it before putting ferret to ground and it was fine. Upon retrieval the collar was not working, changed the batteries and still no joy, took the batteries out of the other collar in case the 2 new ones i put in were faulty and still it did not work. well sent this back to Deben with proof of purchase and received the following back 'Can you let me know if you purchased this from E-Bay? (Its just the warranty only covers the item if brought 1st hand from a shop)' Any way i told them it was purchased from a shop but paid for via paypal, any way today i received the original collar back with an invoice free of charge stating that collar now repaired and working. I have asked what the problem was and am waiting on a reply. I am not sure that Deben can make the above statement as their warranty card does not state only if purchased from a shop. Just beware. Guest lavyheed
Fly feckers, those people at Deben! I had dealings with them a while back, the person on the other end of the phone was a right stroppy cow. It's a pity those people at loc8or didn't make adjustements to their locators and started giving Deben a run for their money. Quote Link to post

Surely if the manufacturer is offering a 12 month warranty then the grip is with them, the goods are not fit for purpose. Quote Link to post
