Fishslayer 10
Nothing wrong with Aussie hats; they keep the sun off, the rain off, and don't make you look like you just came from the Ipswich Truck Stop or are going to kick down a few bus stops on the way home, while avoiding the line dancing/"Village People" connotations of a Stetson (sorry Mark)... ... and (sorry Mark again) why does anybody in Britain wear a baseball hat? Has anybody in Britain ever played baseball? Full brim hats don't work well with hoodies. Cheers, Mark
droid 11
Why do people turn up to game shows in Realltree? Same reason as the buggers that turn up to bike Rallies in cars all wear leathers....
scent 509
to be honest it pisses rain over here for most of he shows and my hunting gear is the only water proofs i have so why not wear them and keep dry
weasle 1,119
Same reason they lead around a big 80lb bull x, "look hard init". Would that mean you were a WW2 greatcoat tied with string and hobnails to go with your little Beddy cross? I do remember one hunter of note wearing a pure white suit to the countryside march, i know it was London but the other million or so were mostley in green, couldn't tell if he was trying to look like a member of 'Shalimar' or 'Randal & Hopkirk (deceased)', eh Chalks Ido wear hob nail boots, brand new moleskin trouser`s ,check shirt, waistcoat, flat cap. This way everyone knows my plumber terrier is a worker.100% on all legal quarry.

rob.i 26
Makes me laugh when fishing to see Carp anglers in real tree lobbing baits 70/80 yards
Spangle 0
Earlier this year I worked a stand at Kelmarsh and the national airgun championships were on at the same venue. It amazed me how many airgunners turned up with all the cammo on just to plink targets, one even had cam cream on!!! Strange, very strange!
the_stig 6,614
Perhaps its to do with "dress for occasion" why do people wear suits to weddings? Yes your right, but people will buy them and not think how easy they are to loose once dropped/placed on the ground. The camo dog bowls always make me wonder!!! Macsen 4
I have been known to wear camo occasionally for the simple reason that the military surplus stuff lasts forever and more importantly is dirt cheap. Wide brimmed australian bush hat does what its designed for in the summer...especially if youre getting a bit thin on top! and everyone knows that the welsh climate is akin to that of the antipodes...they even named one of their states after us!! But why is it that most of the people I see at the shows wearing trainers and jogging bottoms are on the portly side?!...are they going to the shows to take part in the 100m sprint? : )
migmog 1
I'd like to think i've been to every Working Show and Game Fair in the uk. But . . . . what I can't fathom is why so many folk dress in Realtree and Camo clothes in such places?? Is it because they like the feel of the clothes? (GOOOOOD Morning) or do they wear them to say "Hey I go Hunting"). Of which lets talk right most f*****g don't. Your opinions please Good or bad. When i'm at Show I wear a PINK shirt just in case you'd like to know!!! Edited "Because i'm shit at spelling". So arseholes like you dont spot me but its obviously not f*cking working guess il have to resort to a skirt and pink blouse that should keep you away :11: by the way im a bloke if that helps Edited September 25, 2009 by migmog
