My Epson printer, came up on the screen as saying it has parts needing servicing, and it would not work. In other words i think its buggered, and i need a new one. NOT SO,- i just happened to overhear some lads at work saying the very same thing, but that its a programme in the printer ( I have checked this out and its correct ), and you can download some software to re-set your printer. There is nothing wrong with it.

I know the lad that did download it, and reset his printer, but i can't get intouch with him.

Does anyone know what the download is.

Afraid I can't help you on that particular DL, mate. But I would point out thet they're also notorious for claiming your ink's gone, when it isn't. Just ignore their warnings (or switch them off) and know you're out of ink when the first print f***s up on you.

No bother to fit a new cartridge and print that one again, is it? ;)

Yes,- A computer friend of mine has just been here and downloaded SSC Service Utilities,- and in seconds my printer is fully working. All that was wrong,- there is a counter in the printer set at 8,300 and mine was on that number. All he did was reset the counter to zero and it started up. How many people have got rid of their printer thinking it was knackered.
