dean 11
To be honest i think alot of people in built up areas own bull breeds, like me as ive got to walk through built up areas with my bitch and i wouldnt go down well seeing a dog all smashed up,on bigger game most bull breeds can do the job fast and rarely take as much stick as other lurcher crosses which would suit alot of people. Theres peddlers in all breeds and theres shit in every litter its down to how much the owner knows about the breeding, and have they worked this type of dog! EG ive never owned a collie cross so entering this cross correctly to fox would be difficult for me as age,and maturity would be a concern. But on the other hand ive a 34 grey !/4 bull knows her job but she is most definatly not a world beater and she was entered to fox at about 20 months, and aparently the rest of the same litter were doing the job and 13 to 14 months! i started with bedy/whippet and bedy/greys and they were good allrounders and the wheatonxs are good but in the last 14yrs iv had two bull xs and they are something else and good ones are a match for anything Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
Bucket headed first cross bullies are quite simply a dog for the chavvy generation of hunters - the tracksuite and baseball cap midnight moochers that indiscriminently poach and pillage cats, reds and pigs all year round, Like most of these like minded idiots they are 'flash in the pan' enthusiast who get bored within 6 months, and sell them on inorder to pay for the latest x-box game and a 4 pack of diomand white. Unfortunatley its the dogs that suffer. JEEZAS man, talk about tarring everyone with the same brush ffs theres plenty half breds doing a good job of pest control with profesionals as well as genuine sportsmen! Quote Link to post

snap 15
Im on this site every day, and always take a look at the for sale section. You get everyone ranting and raving about the bull greyhounds, and dont get me wrong, my lurcher has 25 percent bull in her! but everytime i look at the dogs (excluding the pups) it seems to be percent bull x's for sale! just a thought as makes you think..................... atb brian before the bull x was so popular the same advertisments would of been full of saluki crosses, collie crosses etc. when a certain cross is more popular theres going to be more for sale, just the way of the world matey. as for the anti bull brigade i wouldnt even bother replying to them. :wankerzo4: Quote Link to post

bull101 35
one question why dont you see many pics of large bags of rabbits on here that a bullx has achieved , maybe its because most who own a bull x have the dog for a specific quarry.............and lets be right rabbit is not it! dont get me wrong people will run their bull x on rabbit but its not what they got it for is it?, if they where bothered about big bags of rabbits or hare im sure they would go for a dog better suited for the job, dont get me wrong a good bull x will catch maybe every running quarry available it wont excell in everything simply because i believe no dog can!. i dont know about any 1 else but rabbit for me is a quarry for the gun and the odd night for the dog. bull x's are great at what they are intended for, same as any other x if they wernt they would not still be around Quote Link to post
