there only good for foxes. no 50/50bull cross would ever match the collie grey or saluki grey on hares and rabbits. its a fact so wake up and smell the coffee

 

anyone in the right mind wouldnt get a 50/50 bull cross for bunnys and hares, , but a 1/4bull 3/4 grey is a diffrent matter, like anything some good, , alot more bad uns in what ever type of dog you get, , , why cant people just accept horses for courses and all that, some people on hear just like to argue,

read all this thread and not down on bull Xs ,correct me if i'm wrong but a first x bull is a dog that is best suited to lamping,without the light the amazing bull x is just a glorified guard dog and granted the 3/4 bred is a bit faster but it isn't the nimblest of dogs, the majority of whom turn like a bull because of their make up,sorry if this offends, only my oppinion

have you seen a 1/2 run mate there far from not nimble mate they are good at turning & the bull about bullxs being not to brainy is bull aswell they can be head strong if you bring them on to fast though from my experiance with them. but they can work during the day but not as you whould like to see a dog work if you just like courseing hares. day time but as a old school mooching lurcher there as good as any breed mooching the fields (not walking on a lead waiting to get a slip so to speak) but useing its nose & ears to find. i was going to use my bitch for ferreting till my nethue got her to kill 1 f*****g little shit him becouse i have never used one to ferret before. thanks for your appinion here is my experiances of the breed from useing them & i am not saying there the best breed in the world for everyone but there a good breed that if you can see through what the dog looks like it can do becouse they do look to heavy but looks can be deseiving. what ever breed you run have a good season with it becouse if your happy with it then thats what maters. ps you dont know bullxs mate they might look like guard dogs but mine are anything but guard dogs maybe hard dogs lol.

for fucks sake 10 pages of shit!!!!!!! i bred a litter of 3/4 bull 1/4 greys last year and all of them are catching well for the breeding!!! and i think a fox is harder to run and catch than a rabbit so there is no problem there as far as i can see. ill try and get some video footage of my bitch working rabbits and post it to show all you doubters how a heavy dog can run!!!! it depends on the bull terrier used ive seen pure bulls catch rabbits with ease and my 3/4 bull bitch had a hare today after a 2-3 min course but each to there own i suppose. AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY ARE LURCHERS AND WE ALL LOVE LURCHERS DONT WE??????? Iv seen a good few 50/50 xs to slow could not kill a hare in a phone box

its horses for courses mate half x i am first to agree not the best cross around to run catch ect but could out preform most other x of lurcher in the phone box if its occupant bites back , for regular work with terriers think half cross from good stock can not be bet , and befor toys get thrown from prams i dont own one and dont wear joggers

the dog on the right is the fastest dog i ever owned, she was a half cross bull grey, , the dog on the right is a bull grey x foxhound, not very fast at all but she bein my best catch bitch ive had, , very clever, its not all about how fast a dog is, , yes it does help, i bred the bitch on the left to a very big half cross, kept back a bitch which is now 11month old, , and what a bitch, excelling at lamping, doing well with the ferrets, and is great at bushing up and catching, so what aload of shite when people say bullxs aint good allrounders, mine is doing great at 11month old,
