sooner have a dog that would pull up before barb wire and fences , not worth the vet bill, there is other game dogs as well as bull x.

beddy x are game, wheaton x is game but every dog is different

you cant judge a breed by comparing a few dogs to each other, and then come to a conclusion that one breed is better than the other

theres alot of game dogs out there in all breeds,most heavey bull xs do more damage to a fence than it does back and a fox usually hits the fence square on,ive bolted a fox on a steap embankment very steep in a wood full of windy bushes a terrier will barely get through and the lurcher ponded through and 5 mins later retrived a dead dog fox and the dog was covered with cuts all over a ripped ear and still carried on that day to account for another 4.

To be honest UNFIT i dont know how to take at all,bamboozled me,ive had pm's saying your a genuine bloke etc but with the amount of stuff people read from you its hard to believe,everytime i read all i can see is you making a point then argueing about your right and 30 others are wrong,come across betternext time!

it just gets annoying ,when i can see things being written that is total rubbish ,when most of the time i have witnessed it for my self on more than the odd occasion , like i have said i put my money where my mouth is ,and i am willing to prove im write ,if any one wants to find out .and yes i might come across as a know it all,that is because i probably am when it comes to working lurchers , i have been taught by a better person than me ,so what would that make him ?

you show me a lurcher with no bull thats as game as a bullx and has the same prey drive and ill show you a bullx that can do January hares mate! there aint many lurchers without a little bit of bull in them, because you cant beat bull for gameness!!

hes apsalutely nuts,but hey god loves a tryer! UNFIT Name another lurcher that will run a fox with all its heart towards a fence and not give in 10-20yds before the fence! Because most of the bull x ive seen work which is alot will take the fence down to please there owner! Infact i only know a few people with other crosses with no bull blood and there not as handy for bigger game as a bull x,on the other hand i know a few lads rounds here that have cracking half xs taking all game day night and cracking numbers and are members on here!

cheers pal!! ive got a half cross and hed run through a brick wall to please me, and that aint because he's lacking in brains UNFIT its because he would do anything to show his dad that he is worthy and and to get a good fuss when he brings something back to me. ive seen lots of dogs run and catch stuff, but there is a reason ive got a bullx! because whatever you run, they've all got a pain threshold to which they'll stop running when it hurts too much, a bull wont!! persistance prevails, and that is why bulls are such good dogs and why bullx owners will get the respect they deserve from the fantastic breeding that is going on at the min by all you so called "proper lurcher men" your all just jealous because our dogs can run in harsher conditions that yours and are less susseptable to injury.

The anti bull brigade do need booted and rightly said we dont interupt there threads at least we put something into it! And unfit you say it proves how much i know lol im still willing to learn but not from a prick like so pal and your the one thats on hear day in day out son not me im out working my dogs! Anyway im not geting involved in this topic again its full of timewasters you know who you are.One last thing ive never seen a bull x work 7 nights a week the best ive seen is 5 nights a week taking better numbers than other crosses but as im open to any cross doing the businees i rekon any dog with the correct owner will be capeable! no dis ,but you have to work for a living ,my dog gets me by ,with out me having to hold down a job ,and so has the dogs i have owned over the past 30 odd years .

fair play to you if your dog keeps a roof over your head, pays for your holidays pays all the bills, pays his own vet and keeps the kids in tidy uniforms etc.etc., any chance i can have a pup off you ???if not then i will just have to keep working like most other people on here...

unfit, i dont think you should be stating facts like that on a public forum, we all know which quarry brings the big money and there is a clamp down at the mo around south wales, you are coming across as a bit of a know it all but i am afraid you dont know it all, did you know anyone who joins up can read what you state on here, and it could get you in a whole lot of trouble,

Why everyone gets so worked up about this beats me.

They are a dog I thought i would never own but a quarter cross ended up in our local greyhound rescue and as I am friendly with the owner ,and run on their farm,I took her on and she is a good dog.She always gives 110%,she will tackle anything but she willnever,not surprisingly ,be a real hare dog.She is very obedient also.

She is not without her faults,recklessness,barking in the car and I would'nt trust her with strange small dogs.Nor can she be trusted around ferrets.

I am not blinded by her gameness,I have a deerhound that is just as capable,but I have been more impressed by her than I ever thought I would be.

Each to their own and don't pay too much attention to internet experts,anyone can be what they want on here.

I rarely even look at the forums other than the for sale section now because of all the fighting and it even reaches that part of the forum now.

p.s. still not tempted to shop at spots direct though.

how come the anti bull's always go back to the same question "can your bull x catch a hare on the fens or what ever!!?................maybe it wont catch good numbers of hare like a saluki x.......................but honestl how many of you with your saluki's can do 5/6 foxes a night maybe 3/4 nights a week?

 

the saluki was bred for running hares on big land

 

bull were bred for taking fox after fox

 

landy's are made for off roading

 

ferrari's are made for the road

 

two different dogs made for different jobs and both of them excell at their jobs!
